A downtown train station

**Brightline trains don’t stop at MIA. They leave from MiamiCentral in downtown Miami.** From the airport, take Brightline’s MIA Airport Connector shuttle to MiamiCentral, 600 NW 1st Avenue. It costs $12 a person plus a $3 fuel surcharge. From Miami, Brightline runs to Aventura, Fort Lauderdale, Boca Raton, West Palm Beach and Orlando.

## Brightline’s shuttle links MIA to MiamiCentral

| Way | Where it starts at MIA | Cost and hours |
| --- | --- | --- |
| Brightline MIA Airport Connector shuttle | Level 2 departures. Concourse D Door 6 (Bus Zone 1), Concourse E Door 11 (Bus Zone 2), Concourse H Door 22 (Bus Zone 4), and the hotel shuttle area | The fare in the opening. Hours differ by source, below. |
| Metrorail | The MIA Mover from Level 3, between the Dolphin and Flamingo garages, to the Miami Intermodal Center, then the Orange Line toward downtown | $2.25 each way, paid at the gate with a contactless card or phone or an EASY Card. See Metrorail |
| Taxi or ride app | Taxis outside baggage claim, ride apps on Level 1 or Level 2 | Taxis run on the meter, with a $15 minimum from MIA. A ride app shows its price before you confirm |

The two official listings for the shuttle disagree on hours. MIA gives Monday to Friday 6 a.m. to 11 p.m. and weekends 8 a.m. to midnight. Brightline’s own MiamiCentral page says daily, 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. If you land after 7 p.m., Brightline’s own hours say the shuttle may have stopped, so plan on the Metrorail or a taxi instead. Brightline lists each shuttle as leaving 10 minutes after a southbound train arrives. Miami’s tourism board says that with a same-day Brightline fare ticket the shuttle costs $12 per guest, first come, first served. Our [Brightline shuttle page](https://miaairportguide.com/transport/brightline-connector/) keeps the airport’s door list and hours.

## The train runs north to Palm Beach and Orlando

Miami’s tourism board puts Aventura 22 minutes from MiamiCentral, Fort Lauderdale about 38 minutes and Orlando about 3 hours. A PREMIUM ticket, Brightline’s top class, gets you into the station’s PREMIUM Lounge, with complimentary food and drinks before you board.

Heading for Palm Beach or Boca Raton? Our guide to [MIA to Palm Beach and Boca Raton](https://miaairportguide.com/guides/miami-airport-palm-beach-boca-raton/) compares Brightline with Tri-Rail, which you can reach from MIA by MIA Mover. Going to Orlando, the tourism board’s 3 hours on Brightline beats about 6 hours on Amtrak, and our guide to [getting to Orlando from MIA](https://miaairportguide.com/guides/getting-orlando-from-miami-airport/) sets the train against the nonstop flights and the buses.
