MIA’s hotel shuttle list has no room prices, so the cheapest room is the one with the lowest total once both airport rides are added. Price the four shuttle hotels in the table below on your exact dates. None has a published 4 a.m. departure in the airport’s listing. If you need to leave your room at 4 a.m., get the hotel to confirm a ride, or budget for a taxi or ride app.

Add taxes, fees and the ride back to each nightly rate before you compare, because a cheap room several miles out can end up costing more than one next to the airport. MIA’s hotel listings give no live price ranking or comparable total for these rooms.

## A cheap room still needs a road check

The hotels below are listed by road distance. Each distance is a drive from **Concourse J** to the hotel, so your route from another part of MIA may differ. MIA lists a hotel shuttle for all four but gives no departure times.

| Hotel to price | Address | Road distance from Concourse J |
| --- | --- | --- |
| Holiday Inn Express Miami Airport Central | 5125 NW 36th St, Miami Springs | 2.6 miles |
| Sleep Inn Miami Airport | 105 Fairview Dr | 3.1 miles |
| Candlewood Suites Miami Intl Airport | 5911 NW 36th St | 3.7 miles |
| Wingate by Wyndham Miami Airport | 3755 NW 78th Ave, Doral | 5.8 miles |

The [hotel directory](https://miaairportguide.com/hotels/) has the wider airport-area list. A room advertised as “near MIA” can sit in Doral or Miami Springs, so go by the street address and the route to *your* departure concourse, not a map badge or a straight-line distance.

Our hotel directory puts three more shuttle hotels closer in. Ramada Miami Airport (5001 NW 36th St) and Wyndham Garden Miami International Airport (4909 NW 36th St) in Miami Springs are each listed at 0.9 mile from MIA. Red Roof PLUS+ Miami Airport (3401 NW Le Jeune Rd) is listed at 1.1 miles. Those distances come from our directory rather than a drive from Concourse J, so they don’t compare one-for-one with the table.

Days Inn by Wyndham Miami Airport North, at 4767 NW 36th St in Miami Springs, says its free shuttle runs from 6 a.m. to midnight. La Quinta Inn & Suites Miami Airport East, at 3501 NW Le Jeune Rd in Miami, says its free shuttle leaves on the hour from 5 a.m. to 11 p.m. Neither schedule gets you to MIA at 4 a.m., so add a car fare to either rate before deciding.

## Book the ride before you book the room

Ask the hotel two separate questions: “Does your shuttle pick up at MIA when I land?” and “Can it take me to my airline’s terminal at 4 a.m.?” Get the first or last departure time, how to request a seat, and the pickup point. A hotel on [MIA’s shuttle list](https://miaairportguide.com/transport/hotel-shuttles/) has an airport service, but that list gives no timetable for each property.

If the hotel cannot confirm the ride, compare a [taxi](https://miaairportguide.com/transport/taxi/) and a [ride app](https://miaairportguide.com/transport/ride-app/) for your hotel address. MIA’s FAQ says ground transportation is available 24 hours a day, but gives no hours for each mode or hotel van. The county’s $15 minimum taxi fare covers trips starting at MIA or the Port of Miami, and the $2 airport origination fee applies only to trips **starting at MIA**. Neither is set for a ride from your hotel back to the airport. Ask the driver or service for that trip’s fare.

Khiz & Eesa filmed a 1:30 a.m. check-in at the Clarion Inn & Suites near MIA, where their booking through a discount app had not reached the desk and the clerk made a new reservation on the spot. If you book through another site, call the hotel to confirm it has your reservation and your arrival time.

## From baggage claim to bed

MIA places hotel shuttle pickup on **Arrivals, Level 1**, at designated curbside zones by doors 1, 2, 3, 4, 7, 15, 20, 23, 24, and 28. Ask your hotel which zone its van uses and whether you must call after landing. Don’t wait at a random curb because the hotel’s name appears on the airport list.

For a ride app, MIA permits pickup on both Level 1 arrivals and Level 2 departures. Follow your app’s assigned door and pickup zone. Taxis use the lower-level curb outside baggage claim. Those are separate meeting points. Our [transport guide](https://miaairportguide.com/transport/) sets the options side by side.

If the shuttle is confirmed, note its pickup time and where to stand. If it isn’t, book a car for the morning and keep the hotel’s address ready. Work back from your airline’s check-in and bag-drop deadline, not from your departure time.

MIA’s main ticketing and security frontage is on Level 2. Check your airline and gate before the ride, then use the [terminal guide](https://miaairportguide.com/terminals/) to choose the right entrance. The [security page](https://miaairportguide.com/security/) lists checkpoint hours. Checkpoint 2 and Checkpoint 6 open at 3:30 a.m., while Checkpoint 9 is listed as open 24 hours. They serve different gates, and an open checkpoint does not tell you when your airline will accept a bag.

If the shuttle fails to appear, call the desk once and switch to your car plan. Metrorail won’t cover a 4 a.m. start, since its published first departure **from** MIA is after 5 a.m. Our [Metrorail page](https://miaairportguide.com/transport/metrorail-orange/) has the full timetable for a later trip.

## Paying more to stay inside MIA

The Miami International Airport Hotel is on Level 2 of Central Terminal E. You can walk to the terminal from the room, so it removes the predawn road ride. MIA does not publish a room rate in its hotel information. Price it for your night next to an off-airport room **plus** both rides.

MIA lists [Wait n’ Rest private sleep rooms](https://miaairportguide.com/venues/wait-n-rest-open-24-hours/) after security in Concourse D, near Gate D15, open 24 hours. You need a same-day flight with access to Concourse D, so the rooms fit a long wait before a D departure. The airport announced short stays from $40 for 60 minutes for one guest. An eight-hour package for one starts at $200, and one reservation can run up to 12 hours. Every room has a private shower. Call Wait n’ Rest at (305) 338-1917 to check a room is free before you count on one.
