A room above the apron

[Miami International Airport Hotel](https://miaairportguide.com/hotels/) is inside MIA on Level 2 of [Central Terminal E](https://miaairportguide.com/terminals/central/#concourse-e). You reach it from the public side of the terminal, without clearing security. If you’re already at a gate, you’ll leave the secure area to stay there and pass through security again for your next flight. **The airport does not publish a day-room rate or booking window for the hotel.** Call the hotel at **(305) 871-4100** before counting on a daytime room.

There is a second choice if you need a shorter rest near your gate. MIA lists [Wait n’ Rest](https://miaairportguide.com/venues/wait-n-rest-open-24-hours/) sleep rooms in [Concourse D](https://miaairportguide.com/terminals/north/#concourse-d), available by the hour. They are a separate business from Miami International Airport Hotel.

## Find the hotel without heading for a shuttle

Go to **Level 2 of Central Terminal E**. That’s the location on our [amenities page](https://miaairportguide.com/amenities/) and in MIA’s FAQ. The airport’s pages don’t give a numbered door or a more precise entrance landmark for the hotel.

Coming from a gate, look up the [checkpoint hours](https://miaairportguide.com/security/) and your next departure before you leave the secure area. If your connection is tight, staying inside the secure area may make more sense than getting a room.

If you’re arriving by the [MIA Mover](https://miaairportguide.com/transport/mia-mover/), the airport places its station on Level 3 between the [Dolphin](https://miaairportguide.com/parking/dolphin/) and [Flamingo](https://miaairportguide.com/parking/flamingo/) garages. The Skyride connects that level with the terminals. From there, make for Central Terminal E and go down to Level 2. You don’t need a hotel shuttle to reach the in-terminal hotel.

## Can you book the hotel for the day?

The hotel’s direct booking page talks about overnight stays without confirming a day rate. Call the hotel with your arrival and departure times. Ask whether a room is available for those hours, what the total will cost, and when you must check out.

## A shorter rest in Concourse D

MIA’s Wait n’ Rest announcement places the sleep rooms inside Concourse D, near gates. Our [amenities page](https://miaairportguide.com/amenities/) lists the service as open 24 hours and gives **(305) 338-1917** as the number. The announcement says rooms hold one to four guests, with access to private showers and bathrooms. The published starting price at opening was **$40 for 60 minutes for one guest**. Wait n’ Rest’s Miami page says you book by the hour, up to 12 hours per reservation, and can walk in and register at the self check-in screens if a room is free.

The rooms are airside in Concourse D, near Gate D15. Wait n’ Rest says you need a same-day flight with access to Concourse D to get in, so you can’t use them from the public side.

For a full night outside the terminal, the [hotel shuttle guide](https://miaairportguide.com/transport/hotel-shuttles/) shows where MIA’s designated pickup zones are.
