Cafecito at the counter

[What's open at MIA right now](https://miaairportguide.com/dining/#open-now): Every place to eat and shop open at this hour, in airport time, with when it closes.

Past security, Concourse D has the most Cuban coffee counters at MIA, and E has one by Gate E5. Everywhere else the cafecito sits before security, in E and F, so get it on your way to the checkpoint rather than walking back out for one.

## Cuban coffee locations and hours by concourse

These are the daily hours in our venue listings. Use the gate number to find the right counter. The E and F locations marked **before security** are on the public side of the checkpoint.

| Concourse | Counter and location | Listed daily hours |
| --- | --- | --- |
| D | Café Versailles, by D5, after security | 4:30 a.m.–10:45 p.m. |
| D | Café Versailles, by D20, after security | 5 a.m.–10 p.m. |
| D | La Carreta, by D37, after security | 5 a.m.–10 p.m. |
| D | Café Versailles, by D44, after security | 4:30 a.m.–10:45 p.m. |
| E | Café Versailles, Departures Level 2, before security | 4 a.m.–10 p.m. |
| E | Sergio’s Cuban, by E5, after security | 6 a.m.–8 p.m. |
| E | Café La Carreta, Arrivals Level 1, before security | 5 a.m.–9 p.m. |
| F | Café Versailles, Departures Level 2, before security | 5 a.m.–10 p.m. |

MIA files Versailles and Sergio’s under coffee and local flavors, and Greater Miami’s tourism site names both for Cuban coffee.

The [food directory](https://miaairportguide.com/dining/) doesn’t identify a Cuban coffee counter in G, H or J. It lists [Sergio’s GO](https://miaairportguide.com/venues/sergios-go/) by H12, but gives no coffee menu for that location. Check the [coffee and bakery listings](https://miaairportguide.com/dining/?group=coffee) for a nearby fallback rather than heading to H12 on the strength of its name.

## Pick your stop before you walk

In D, stay where you are and pick the Versailles counter closest to your gate, or [La Carreta](https://miaairportguide.com/venues/la-carreta/) by D37.

In E, [Sergio’s Cuban](https://miaairportguide.com/venues/sergios-cuban/) by E5 is the only counter past security. If you’re connecting, use the [terminal map](https://miaairportguide.com/terminals/) and [connection guide](https://miaairportguide.com/connections/) before changing concourses or leaving the secured area.

On the arrivals level, [Café La Carreta](https://miaairportguide.com/venues/cafe-la-carreta/) in E suits a coffee while you meet someone or right after you land. If you go landside during a connection, allow time to pass through a [security checkpoint](https://miaairportguide.com/security/) again.

## Order the coffee you mean

Greater Miami’s tourism site describes a **cafecito** as a small, sweetened espresso. A **cortadito** adds a splash of steamed milk. **Café con leche** has espresso and steamed milk, while a **colada** is a larger portion of espresso shots meant to share. If you don’t want sugar, ask for *sin azúcar* when ordering. For anything else, ask at the counter.

Our [food directory](https://miaairportguide.com/dining/) lists hours, not Cuban coffee prices or each counter’s full menu. For a late-night fallback, MIA lists a [24-hour Dunkin’](https://miaairportguide.com/venues/dunkin-open-24-hours/) before security in F. It isn’t listed as a Cuban coffee stop.
