Where to feed and change a baby at MIA

Find MIA's nursing spaces by concourse, see which side of security they're on, and know where to ask about diaper-changing facilities.

You can nurse or pump anywhere at MIA. For privacy, the airport lists MIAmamas nursing spaces in every concourse, all after security. Diaper changes belong in a restroom, not a nursing space. MIA does not publish a concourse-by-concourse list of family bathrooms or changing tables, so check the nearest restroom before walking across the terminal for one.

Find a nursing space in your concourse

MIA says its MIAmamas pods are after security in each concourse. Its written nursing guide does not give a gate number for each pod. Use our nursing room page, which lists the pods MIA’s map marks in each concourse, or the MIA Airport Official app to find the closest one. The airport also lists a South Terminal lactation suite.

Terminal and concourses Private feeding space, after security Single-use unisex restrooms
North Terminal: D A MIAmamas space Yes, MIA says
Central Terminal: E, F and G A MIAmamas space in each Not yet, MIA says
South Terminal: H and J A MIAmamas space in each, plus an accessible nursing room past the J security checkpoint Yes, MIA says

Pods can be occupied, so know the next nearest one before you settle on a plan.

MIA describes its enclosed nursing suites as having a lockable door, two benches, a fold-down table and an outlet for a breast pump. That description comes from MIA’s breastfeeding announcement, and fittings may differ between pods. The airport asks you to use these spaces for nursing or pumping only, clean up spills and take your belongings.

Before security, or after you’ve arrived

Every published nursing location is after security. The airport does not list a private nursing room before security. If you need privacy before screening or after collecting bags, ask at an airport information counter for a suitable place nearby. Don’t plan a feed around a pod you cannot yet reach.

If you’re changing a diaper before security or at baggage claim, look for a restroom on your current level and ask staff which one has a changing surface. The restroom listing shows where MIA’s restrooms are.

If you need to change your baby now

The Greater Miami Convention & Visitors Bureau’s accessibility page mentions unisex restrooms for people with disabilities and companions, but it does not identify them as baby-changing rooms. Ask an information counter for the nearest restroom with a changing table or family bathroom, then look inside before you count on a table being there.

Connecting? Both the concourse you land in and the one you leave from have a MIAmamas space after security, so feed wherever the timing suits your connection.
