Which PortMiami terminal is my ship at?

Find your PortMiami terminal letter, confirm it for your sailing, and give your driver the right drop-off from MIA.

Use the terminal letter confirmed for your sailing by your cruise line. PortMiami names terminals by cruise line, so the letter for your ship comes from your cruise documents.

PortMiami terminal letters by cruise line

This table tells you where to start looking. It can’t replace the terminal assignment for your sailing. Keep your ship name and departure date beside the letter when you check.

Cruise line Terminal letters
MSC Cruises PortMiami calls Terminal AA the MSC terminal.
Royal Caribbean International and other Royal Caribbean Group ships PortMiami calls A the Royal Caribbean terminal, but Royal Caribbean’s own directions also list AA and E for group ships, so don’t assume A.
Norwegian Cruise Line PortMiami calls B the Norwegian terminal.
Carnival Cruise Line PortMiami lists Carnival at D, E and F, and only your booking says which of the three.
Virgin Voyages Virgin names V as its PortMiami terminal.
Other lines PortMiami says C serves several lines and J serves small vessels and luxury cruises, with no ship-by-ship list.

Royal Caribbean says to check your cruise documents and follow the signs when you arrive, because the terminal may change. PortMiami’s parking list includes a Terminal G, but its terminal page describes G as a planned new Royal Caribbean terminal that is not yet open, so confirm the letter in your cruise documents before giving a driver G.

Give your driver the letter and ship name

Say or message: “PortMiami Cruise Terminal [letter], for [ship name].” Add your departure date if the driver asks. Say only “PortMiami”, or the port address Royal Caribbean gives, 1015 N. America Way, and the driver won’t know which terminal curb you need.

If your ride app offers a terminal-specific destination, select your confirmed letter and check the pin before requesting the ride. Tell the driver the letter even when the app has a pin. If a sign at the port conflicts with the letter you saved, check your cruise-line instructions again before unloading. Royal Caribbean specifically tells its passengers to follow the signs for their corresponding terminal on arrival.

At MIA, taxis use the arrivals ground level outside baggage claim. Ride apps can pick up on Level 1 arrivals or Level 2 departures, according to the MIA rules on our taxi page. If you arranged a cruise-line transfer, MIA lists the North bus station in Concourse D, Level 1, Door 1, and the South bus station in Concourse J, Level 1, Door 33. Confirm which station your transfer uses. Those D and J labels are airport concourses, not your PortMiami terminal assignment.

If you still don’t have a letter

Check the sailing date and ship name on your cruise documents, then contact your cruise line for the terminal letter. PortMiami’s terminal directory doesn’t answer the ship-by-ship question.

PortMiami’s terminal page and Royal Caribbean’s directions give no walking route or shuttle between terminals. If you’re dropped at the wrong one, keep your driver at the curb until your cruise line tells you how to reach the right one.

One Carnival passenger reported that their ship returned to a different terminal and they took a bus back to where they had parked. If someone is collecting you after the cruise, confirm the return terminal with your cruise line too.
