Getting to the gate and arriving

Moving between H and J

The South Terminal map shows the H–J connector. Use this to understand the relationship between the two concourses, not as a promise of an unrestricted connection for every itinerary.

Neither the D Skytrain nor the E Train serves H and J. For movement between terminal areas, MIA documents Level 3 moving walkways.

Animal-relief area in the connector

An indoor animal-relief area is listed after security in the H–J connector, across from InMotion. The outdoor J relief area near Door 28 was listed as temporarily closed for construction when reviewed; do not rely on it without checking at the airport.

J international arrivals are on Level 3

International arrivals through J are on Level 3. Domestic baggage claim is on Level 1. If someone is meeting you, distinguish your arrival type and level instead of simply saying “South Terminal.”
