Where to park at Miami airport and what each garage costs

Choose a MIA garage by concourse, compare daily rates with Economy and valet, and know what to check before you drive in.

Park in Dolphin for Concourses D or E, Flamingo for E through J, or Ibis for H or J. MIA lists a $25 maximum daily rate for garage parking. Economy Park-and-Ride costs up to $12 per day, plus a $0.35 transaction fee, with a shuttle to the terminal. Valet costs up to $39 per day. If you drive anything over 7 feet, MIA points you to one High-Vehicle area at Ibis or to Economy, and the tall-vehicle section below has the details.

MIA names parking by concourse, rather than giving each terminal a separate garage. Find your departure concourse first. If your boarding pass shows only an airline, check your flight information. MIA says to check airline locations before choosing a parking area, and the terminal guide maps Concourses D through J by level.

MIA parking option Concourses it serves Published price How you reach the terminal
Dolphin Garage D and E $2 per 20 minutes, capped at $25 per day after 4 hours Terminal garage
Flamingo Garage E through J $2 per 20 minutes, capped at $25 per day after 4 hours Terminal garage
Ibis Garage J and H $2 per 20 minutes, capped at $25 per day after 4 hours Terminal garage
Economy Park-and-Ride All terminals by shuttle. MIA doesn’t assign it a concourse $2 for each 20 minutes or part, capped at $12 per day, plus $0.35 per transaction Shuttle to and from the terminals, 24 hours a day
Valet Dolphin and Flamingo entrances $25 for up to 3 hours on day one, then $39 for 3 to 24 hours. The daily maximum is $39 Leave your car at the departures level of either garage

If you’ll be gone several days, compare the full stay, including Economy’s transaction fee, before choosing the shuttle over a garage. MIA’s parking page doesn’t spell out how it rounds a stay across multiple days, so check the amount shown when booking or ask parking staff before entering.

Pick the garage before the airport road splits

For D, choose Dolphin. For E, both Dolphin and Flamingo serve the concourse, so check which has space. Flamingo serves F and G as well as H and J. Ibis also serves H and J, according to MIA’s parking page.

MIA says digital signs show space availability by floor. Inside, green lights mark open spaces and red lights mark occupied ones.

If you’re driving to collect someone, use the Cell Phone Waiting Lot instead of choosing a flight-length parking option. MIA describes it as a waiting lot for pickup, and Miami-Dade County places it off LeJeune Road and Northwest 31st Street. It’s free for private vehicles and has 60 spaces.

Save money with Economy, if the shuttle fits your trip

Set your map to 1350 NW 45 Ave, Miami, FL 33126, the address on MIA’s parking page. Economy Park-and-Ride is away from the terminal garages. MIA lists 350 spaces, says availability varies, and runs shuttle service to and from the terminals 24 hours a day. MIA’s parking page doesn’t promise a shuttle interval. A Miami-Dade County announcement gave a 15-minute interval, but build in time for a wait rather than counting on it.

Economy is the clear airport-operated price choice for an overnight stay if a space is available and you can take the shuttle. Pay through PayByPhone’s app, website or phone line, as MIA directs. The airport lists credit cards for this payment.

A rental car goes back to the Rental Car Center, reached from the terminal by the MIA Mover, not to these garages.

If you reserve or use valet

MIA lets you prepay for Dolphin or Flamingo up to a year ahead. Your confirmation email contains a QR code for entry and exit. Scan it at the entrance. Don’t pull a ticket, or MIA says you may pay for parking again. Scan the code when leaving. If you stayed past the reserved time, you may need to pay the difference before the gate opens.

You can modify or cancel a reservation up to 24 hours before its start, but MIA keeps the $2.99 reservation fee. If the scanner fails, press the call button for an attendant.

If you drive in without a reservation, keep the ticket. MIA’s Quick Pay stations let you pay in the garage before you reach the exit lane. Insert the paid ticket at the lane to leave. MIA lists credit cards, Apple Pay and Samsung Pay for garage payments.

Valet is at the departures level, on level 2 of Dolphin and Flamingo. A Miami-Dade County notice identifies the Dolphin entrance across from Concourse D Door 2 and the Flamingo entrance across from Concourse J Door 20. MIA limits a valet stay to 20 days.

Tall vehicles, access needs and a full garage

MIA lists Park 1 in its accessible-parking grid, but gives it no separate public daily price or concourse assignment. The same page names a High-Vehicle area at Ibis, beside the east side of Dolphin, without a separate rate. Don’t budget either one at $25 based on a guess. Call MIA parking at 305-876-7536 to confirm the rate and where your vehicle can go.

Vehicles over 7 feet may use that High-Vehicle area or Economy Park-and-Ride, according to MIA. Accessible spaces are on the ground and third levels of the garages. MIA says vehicles displaying a disability permit or tag receive two complimentary hours. At exit, press the kiosk’s telephone icon and tell the representative about the permit or tag. Under Florida law, parking is free for vehicles fitted with specialized equipment, such as ramps, lifts, or foot or hand controls. It’s also free for vehicles showing a DV license plate or the Florida Toll Exemption permit.

MIA limits garage stays to 45 days except where signs say no overnight parking. It says vehicles past 45 days will be towed at the owner’s expense. For valet, the limit is 20 days. Ask MIA before entering if your return date could cross either limit.

If the garage you wanted is full, check the signs for another garage serving your concourse. For H or J, that includes Flamingo and Ibis. Economy may still have space, though MIA says availability varies. Another option is to leave the car elsewhere and take Metrorail’s Orange Line, at $2.25 a ride, or a metered taxi to the airport.

Off-airport booking sites advertise hotel and private-lot spaces under “Miami airport parking.” Their prices belong to those companies, not MIA’s garages or Economy lot. Check the exact address, shuttle arrangements, return pickup and total charge before paying. If your trip continues to a cruise, PortMiami parking has different garages and rates.
